Kromě převažujícího malířského projevu se de Almeida e Silva (vlastním jménem Nuno Fernandes) zabývá i občasnou performance, ironicky komentující uměleckou praxi. Láhev naplněná popelem z nepovedených kreseb či stánek s autorovými grafikami, za jejichž přijetí platí naopak umělec novým majitelům jedním eurocentem, ukazují na ironický odstup od malířského řemesla. Fernandesova plátna naopak ukazují divoké, avšak přísně kontrolované spojení halucinogenních barev a figurace, čerpající z exotických i politických zdrojů.
