Manuel Tayarani's ceramic objects stand out by standard criteria. They are reminiscent of traditional decorative stoves, but in closer examination they are more abstract collages of mysterious cultures and their remains. They can resemble mysterious product packagings, as the pictograms in the background of one of them suggests, but tiny elements from popular culture make their reading much more open. As the author himself says: "I've been thinking about our time, and what's left of it will be in thousands of years. It's just the packaging, the shell of what was there. " / pv
