Wieland
Schönfelder

The graduate work of Wieland Schönfelder defies from the beginning an unambiguous description. A pair of absurd 3D-printed comic characters are repeatedly encountered in a variety of situations revolving around the existence of a sacred crystal. Both main actors are also featured on fabulously tuned wallpapers. All this is complemented by texts on the walls and the videos, showing various fragmentary philosophical and psychological statements. The result is a mixture of absurd cabaret and ontological fairy tale. / pv
