Selina Lampe

What does a non-mediated reality mean today and how to distinguish it from a virtual construct? Where to look for a real reality now, whether political or artistic? With these questiosn deals the installation of Selina Lampe, in a very playful and relaxed form dominated by the green avatar, our guide to the „real“ world, as well as a lot of clay which Lampe understands as a connecting material with inherit social symbolics. The clay covers also her Odradek, a scuplture of non-functional dirty television, inspired by Franz Kafka. The whole installation, combining sculptures, video, prints and ready-mades, can appear unsorted, but it also shows the many roles that the contemporary artist must necessarily handle.
