The video by Stephanie Rizaj shows a poetic yet generous experiment in the middle of the Kosovo Mountains: the unfortunate legacy of history, personified by an abandoned brutalist building, is confronted with the collective power of dozens of women trying to move the whole house. The absurd and concise picture of the struggle between history and present, between stiff and warm, between indifference and interest, shows the real burden of the fate of Kosovo women and of its society as a whole. STEPHANIE RIZAJ WAS ANNOUNCED TO BE THE WINNER OF STARTPOINT PRIZE 2019.
