Michal Šimonfy
Michal Šimonfy focuses on mapping various art strategies dealing with the theme of living nature. From the social network Twitter, which he accepted as a sample of the global vocabulary, and from an ongoing discussion he abstracted key words related to life and, on the contrary, to the absence of life. In the output of the work user reports are generated according to the presence of words such as life, vitality, aliveness, survival, birth versus death, dying, decease, perish... and later these are transformed into a visual form – the simulation of a simple life form whose lifespan is conditioned by the result of the previous analysis in short time intervals. Visually attractive, the final projection (a representation of the discussion) is not only a numerical analysis but also functions as a dynamic model and follows its own rules. (lg)
