Although Barbora Fastrová originally studied Photography, for several years now she has been toying with the possibilities of contemporary sculpture, especially in her favourite concrete. The project "In my country ... ", which combines references to the current world of social networks and children's topics of language games and clumsy forms, is about a world where "stories are interpreted literally and tears are moderated by surprising solutions," to quote the artist. Fasterová's stubbornly smudged poetics connect the legacy of minimalism with current DIY aesthetic and post-Internet thinking in new, surprisingly direct forms. (pv)
