Doyoun Park's book objects and videos are characterised mainly by critical intelligence: a book by Umberto Eco is conceived as a Lettrist sculpture. Through its carefully cut-out pages, we can find the key interpretation composed of words on various pages: "Rules may change." Park has a similar approach to further books: while the notorious Art History of the 20th Century fights streaming water, another Taschen publishing house bestseller on the History of Sculpture is transformed into a fireplace clock measuring time, transforming all books and art into antiquities.
