START POINT PRIZE – Prize for emerging artists

A short film by christopher tym takes place on two continents and depicts the moments and mutual virtual interviews between a young Frenchman and American woman. The content recalls a fatal carelessness of French "New Wave" cinema. The love, which is in tym’s story rather wishful than real, requires sacrifices on both sides of the ocean. The whole story is furthermore surprisingly animated with the use analogue tricks, as the single elements of the image become completely autonomous through animation. The dreamy filmic language is crowned by completely abstract passages.
